INTRODUCTION TO MEDITATION WORKSHOP!!

$15 to drop in for individual weeks
Tuesdays, 6:30-7:30pm for six weeks beginning April 16th
Curious about meditation? Wondering if you’re “doing it right”? This is the workshop for you! You will explore 6 different types of meditation under the guidance of a teacher with years of experience. Join us for one or all of these classes to experience a wide range of meditation techniques.

You will learn:
What meditation is and is not.
How it can help to reduce stress and increase peace in your life.
The physiological and psychological benefits of a meditation practice.
How meditation is used as a spiritual practice.

Discover the benefits of meditation including:
The experience of creating intention and recognizing the intuitive guidance through meditation
Becoming aware of your habits of mind so you can make choices about them
Learning to use your mind instead of letting it use you!

You will have the opportunity to practice:
April 16 – Mantra mediation                     April 23 – Chakra meditation
April 30 – Guided meditation                     May 7 – Mindfulness meditation
May 14 – Food mediation                     May 21 – Walking meditation
This workshop will be led by Dr. Kathleen Brock, a metaphysical minister ordained in the International Holistic Ministry. She has a Master’s degree in metaphysical theology from the International College of Metaphysical Theology where she is currently continuing her studies towards a doctorate. She also has a doctorate in psychology from Antioch University and a Bachelor’s degree in theology from St. Anselm College. Dr. Brock’s goal is to adapt research-backed theories into practical teachings. She presents practices that are useful in the short term, and can develop into everyday habits of mind in the long-term. Join Jessica M. Lang Wright for this one hour class Absolutely FREE!! What a great way to start your week! All levels welcome! Bring your friends!

Jessica M. Lang Wright is the owner and primary teacher at Forever Yoga. Jessica received her 200 hour Yoga Alliance Certification from Naturally Yoga in Glen Rock, NJ where she studied with Sheryl Edsall. Jessica has also completed certification in Lakshmi Voelker Chair Yoga and teaches chair yoga at the studio to those that are unable to participate in a mat yoga class. In the few short years since Jessica graduated from her teacher training, she has had the opportunity to work with people of all shapes, sizes, ages and abilities including High School students, the elderly, those with severe health issues and everything in between. Jessica’s classes incorporate all of the usual aspects of yoga with the addition of chanting in Sanskrit with the harmonium to honor her musical background and the roots of this practice, as well as careful attention to safety and alignment. Since graduating from her 200 hour program, Jessica has continued to deepen her studies with various workshops and additional trainings. She is a candidate for certification as a Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga instructor with Sadie Nardini as well as currently being enrolled in a 500 hour teacher training at At Om Yoga, in Concord, NH. It is her goal to make the benefits of yoga available to everyone, no matter what their physical, emotional or spiritual challenges may be.

Come join us for our monthly gathering of like-minded individuals featuring meditation, focused discussion, and chant. Use this time as an opportunity to meet and interact with others in our community and begin your week from a place of focus. Meditation and discussion will be lead by Dr. Kathleen Brock, a student at the studio and long time inspirational and motivational teacher.

The program will last one hour and end with music and song with Jeanine Correao.

Starting at 5pm we will share a light meal together. Please bring a vegetarian dish to share. You are welcome to join us for one or both portions of the evening.
This gathering is open to all so please feel free to bring a friend!
