Summer of Socks 2007

It’s come to my attention that some of you out there may need a little help with how to use Flickr and get your photos into the group. I am here to help! If you have any more questions after reading this post, feel free to leave a comment. Remember, your questions may help someone else in the along who may not be quite brave enough to ask!

First, you need to set up an account. Go to Flickr.com and click on Create Your Account. You’ll then be prompted to use an existing Yahoo ID (yahoo owns flickr) or to create one. Once you go through these steps, you’ll be able to sign into Flickr.

Once you have an account, you’ll need to upload some photos. You can do that by clicking the upload link and going to your photos file by file on your computer OR you can download a little program that will help you load photos in large groups. You can read more about that on Flickr.

When your photos have been uploaded, go over to the SOS Flickr group and click the link to join the group.

Once you are a member of the group, click on a photo that you want to send to the group. At the top of the picture you will see several buttons. Click the one that says “Send to Group”. A drop down list should pop up. Click the title for the SOS group and your photo will be added!
