Summer of Socks 2007

This was another tough decision this week. I’m really amazed at how many varied and interesting links are being sent in. I know you are probably already tired of hearing me say this, but please please PLEASE, make sure you check the rules page before you submit your entry. I really hate turning people away because of silly things like the wrong subject in your e-mail. Following the guidelines makes it fair for everyone and much easier for me to track. I love this blog! If you’ve ever need a “how to” or wonder “why is that?”, this blog has the answer. BIG, well-designed pictures, easy to understand text- this blog has it all! I only recently started reading it, but I imagine the archives are pure gold, based on what I’ve seen. I’m not the only one reading- the illustrious Grumperina also recently linked to it from her blog.

There are several great posts on this blog related to sock knitting too. Perhaps you need a kitchener stitch refresher? Or maybe you’re doing colorwork and wonder if you can avoid those darned jogs? Or maybe you’re using dpns (or some other method for that matter) for the first time and need help avoiding ladders? There is a post here for you! Not only that, but it’s simply a great resources for those little nagging questions you may have about your knitting in general. Obviously, this is a labor of love for the author (in fact, she’s just posted that she’s taking a short hiatus) and I’m sure many of us will be appreciating that labor now!
