I’ve meant to do updates on this contest more often, but other things have been grabbing my attention lately. Since there’s no Weekly Link Contest winner to announce this week, I thought I would do this instead. Here are the latest numbers (as of 9:30am EST 8/29):

Unfortunately, the Crochet Division still doesn’t have enough entries to run the contest just yet. I hope you crocheters out there will send your socks in to the contest soon!
In the same vein, there have only been 5 entries in the Design Contest. Final submissions are due on Saturday, and the contest will not run without 15 entries. I really hope there are at least 10 more of you out there planning to send in a design! Remember, there are beautiful prizes to be won in all of the contests here. Thanks again to the many sponsors that provided these prizes for all of you to win.
And make sure you don’t forget to vote for your favorite picture in the Vacation Contest. Voting is open to one and all (including those who are not “officially” part of the along) and ends on Saturday as well.

I am still planning an entry . . . but I haven’t even started to write it up yet, because I’m doing a third sock & tweaking it — I’ll bet others are the same & you’ll get a bunch in the end.
Hopefully I’ll get it done in time. Not expecting to win, but it’s been fun designing some very simple socks.

I am amazed at the number of socks that others are knitting!! I did spend alot of time playing with my design pattern at the beginning. I have sent in my entry for the design contest (so there is 6 for sure).
I can’t believe we are almost through SOS2007!!!!! How many more days……24, 25, 26?????? I don’t think I can catch up to Cookie or Wendy. I think they are human sock knitting machines. I am in awe of them both!!!!!!!!

It has been a Summer of Socks. I finished 3 pairs started before summer of socks officially began (Cobblestones, Pomatomus, Victorian Lace). Since then I have started 5 pairs (Monkeys, Seduction, Jaywalkers, Mad Color Weave, I Love Gansey) and finished the Monkeys and Seduction. Will finish Jaywalkers and Mad Color Weave before the end.

I plan to submit a Design Contest entry. I’m still knitting and tweaking the pattern. Final photography and submission will be tomorrow.

Once again, my sock total is wrong. I have started, completed and sent in information for 4 pairs of socks since the start of SOS.
