Sign ups now closed!

I’ve now officially closed sign ups for this years along. Thank you so much for the overwhelming response this year! :-D I’m very excited about the fun that this summer will hold for us all!

In the coming days I’ll be going through the database with all of your information and fixing any problems that may have occurred. I’ll especially be e-mailing those who signed up without a valid blog url. Now is the time to let me know if there is a problem with your name on the sidebar. I’ll also be posting more information about the contests and more information on our sponsors. I will still be accepting sponsorships until June 21st, so if you have a business and are interested in being a sponsor, please let me know soon.

Stay tuned here for more updates! June 21st (the official kick-off date) is less than a month away! :)

Just checking to make sure that the comment system is working for me - if it can go wrong, it will!

Can’t wait for the kick-off, and what a perfect date to choose - Midsummer Solstice! Oh wait - yes, - that means a really special Solstice-type pattern. Better get hunting…

Darn. Now I see I was actually two days late w/ my blog.

Well, I guess I’ll just have to cast on anyway and knit some socks!!

Good luck to those of you who were a little more on the ball!

I’m looking forward to a summer of knitting socks! I just bought Interweave’s newest sock book and another skein of Cherry Tree Hill Supersock Yarn from my LYS so I’m all set. Well, almost all set. I still need to decide what pattern to knit first. I set up my own flickr account too, but for the life of me I can’t seem to figure out how to join the group flickr site. Maybe someone can clue me in on how to do this. Thanks!

Can’t wait, can’t wait… I see a lot of names here that I’m glad to be knitting along with, and I’m quite looking forward to “meeting” the rest of you… Now off to the pattern hunt!

Very excited already! I’m not an experienced (sock) knitter, so I’m very much looking forward to knitting with so many fine people, and hope to learn a lot on the way. I might need to cast on a sock before the start, though, only for practice you see…

  7. Fleecy Says:

Well, pooh. oh, well, I’ll knit along anyway…I’m horrid a posting on KAL’s as it is. I just bought about four balls of sock yarn…it is the summer of socks, after all.

Drat! I just tried my link from last summer to see if there was a new sign up and it’s already closed! Have fun everyone!

  9. Jenn Says:

Well crap, I missed the signup deadline! Oh well, I’ve got a ton of socks I want to knit anyway (my Ravelry queue is full of ‘em!) so I’ll just knit along unofficially. :)

Well, now I feel like a dip - my blog url is wrong. :p I must have signed up for this *just* before I moved my blog. It’s really no biggie - the old page is still there, with a link to the new one - but if you want to fix it…

    Old blog: floofle.blogspot.com
    Should be: floofle.wordpress.com

    Sorry about that!

Can’t wait to see what everyone’s making! :)

I am so excited! I have tons and tons of patterns/yarn/fiber lined up. Not that it’s stopping me from starting new projects anyway! Sock it to me!
